Spectrum Health Pennock is pleased to invite you back to the annual Summerfest Run on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 8:30 a.m.
Celebrate health and wellness by launching your weekend with a 5k walk/run before you and your family head on to Summerfest festivities throughout the day.
This has been a tough past year and a half creating social isolation and stress. To ensure a safe and smooth race morning for participants and volunteers, we are focusing on only the 5K this year. This is a time to get out with family, friends or colleagues and enjoy the benefits of moving your body.
The event will not be timed – focusing on the FUN of running
Registration includes:
• 5K course
• Finisher koozie
• Virtual run/walk option
The following guidelines will be implemented for the safety of participants, volunteers, and event staff:
• Staggered starts by pace to avoid overcrowding
• Open area starting line – start line and race staging will be spread out to maximize social distancing
• Social distancing/mask wearing – participants will be required to follow the local health mandates in place at the time and location of the event but will NOT be required to wear a mask while running/walking.
• Because the Barry County Substance Abuse Task Force Kids Fun Run will not be hosting a fun run this year, young children are allowed to participate with registered adults in the 5K event (strollers allowed). Please know there is a stretch of the race on a narrow trail through Sweezy’s Pond, we recommend jogging strollers only.

Student pricing (up to high school): $15
Kids 5 years of age and under race free with a supervising adult. Those 6 years of age and older, up to a senior in high school, may take advantage of student pricing of.
Packet Pick-Up
There will be no packet pick-up. Bibs will be provided to participants at registration morning of the race. Please be sure to allow enough time before race start time to check-in, pick up bib and find your pace group for staggered starts.
Prefer not to register online? You can pick up a paper form at the Pennock Health & Wellness Center and return to them with payment of cash or check before Tuesday, August 24.
